Christmas
We stand around a warm and glowing light
To remember the Christ,
Who came to us and healed us from our plight
The magic of this season
Is not about gift-giving, merry songs and peaceful living
It's not about buying new things, routine church programmes,
where you can hear the choir sing
It is about realising our weak state,
Our frailty and our hate
It's about realignment to Our God
A reassurance of our faith
That the only truth is found
In Jesus his Only Son
For our sins he was born to die
To make us holy ones
Ones set apart for Him
In thought, in word, in deed
Caring for the world,
Spreading love to those in need
Don't just keep the faith, spread it.
